Bay St. George RCMP attends Bay St. George POWWOW held in Flat Bay, two RCMP officers awarded

Bay St. George RCMP officers were pleased to attend the Bay St. George POWWOW held in Flat Bay this past weekend. Two Indigenous RCMP officers, Inspector Gerard Webb and Sergeant Terry Alexander, received the Aboriginal War Veterans Millennium Medal from Qalipu First Nations’ Chief Brendan Mitchell.

Also in attendance were RCMP West District Policing Officer Superintendent David Cook and Bay St. George RCMP Detachment officers, Staff Sergeant Troy Bennett and Sergeant Dave Cooke.

With the sun shining bright, along with traditional song and dance, a great time was had by all.
