The 31 Division Community Police Liaison Committee (CPL) is providing eight $1,000 bursaries to secondary school students in the Division because it prioritizes youth employment and education.
The academic prizes are open to 12th-grade students from Downsview Secondary, Westview Secondary, St. Basil-the-Great College School, Monsignor Fraser, James Cardinal McGuigan, C.W. Jefferys Collegiate, Emery Collegiate, and Madonna Catholic Secondary.
They must be citizens, permanent residents, or protected individuals of Canada, reside within the 31 Division boundaries, and be accepted to a certificate program, part-time undergraduate degree program, or full-time undergraduate degree program during the 2022-2023 academic year.
They must also be involved in their community and show that they need money.
A personal statement of up to 500 words, two letters of recommendation, a resume, proof of acceptance and enrollment in a post-secondary program or training institute, and a transcript or credit counseling summary are all required of students.
