Canada’s Olympian Alexandra Paul died in a car accident at the age of 31. He was a member of Canada’s skating team. Skating Canada announced Paul’s death.
Paul had a car accident in Canada. “It is with great sadness that we announce that Alexandra Paul is no longer alive,” the country’s figure skating association said in a statement. He died in a car accident. We are with Paul’s family at this time. Condolences to them.” The statement further said, “Paul’s passion and dedication to the game was palpable. Worked hard. Loved skating. “He has made a big contribution to Canadian skating.”
Police said Paul’s car was speeding at the time of the accident. Police believe that he could not control the vehicle due to speed.
Paul won silver at the World Junior Championships in 2010. He participated in the 2014 Sochi Olympics for Canada. Paul and his partner Mitchell Islam finished in 18th place in the ice dance competition. Paul has not participated in any other competition since 2016.
