Didsbury RCMP seek assistance in locating wanted male

On May 28, 2022, at approximately 9:30 a.m., Didsbury RCMP responded to a complaint of a suspicious vehicle near Westcott Hall, located in Mountain View County, Alta.

Upon arrival, the driver of this vehicle fled from police but not before he was identified by officers as Joseph Aubut (35). As he fled the scene, he drove directly at officers and narrowly missed a civilian bystander. Numerous attempts have been made to locate him; however, police have not been successful in apprehending Aubut to date.

As there is a concern for public safety, Didsbury RCMP are seeking public assistance in locating wanted Joseph Jerry Aubut. Aubut is currently wanted for 52 offences, many being crimes against persons. Some of these offences include the following:

  • Assault
  • Harassing Communications
  • Intimidation
  • Flight from police

Joseph Aubut is described as follows:

  • Light skinned male
  • Approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall and 170 pounds
  • Brown hair and brown eyes
