Following several attacks with a box cutter, Island Lake RCMP conduct an investigation

Island Lake RCMP received a report of three people being attacked and injured in Garden Hill First Nation on April 3, 2023, around 12:40 a.m. Three slashed victims were being treated at the Nursing Station when officers arrived right away.
A woman was asked to leave a party that was being held at a community residence, according to the initial investigation. After leaving, the 33-year-old woman returned with a box cutter and slashed a 26-year-old, 24-year-old, and 39-year-old male. The injuries to all three are life-altering.
The suspect was found and taken into custody. She faces charges of Possessing a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, Aggravated Assault x3, and Terrifying Threats x2. She was set free from guardianship forthcoming a May court appearance.
