Indian medical organization Disan will build a hospital for the development of Bangladesh’s medical sector. This hospital will be built within the next five years. The company will invest 1000 crore rupees in the construction of this hospital.
Chairman of the organization Sajal Dutt said these things in a press conference organized at the Nasrul Hamid Auditorium of Dhaka Reporters Unit located in Segunbagicha of the capital on Tuesday.
At that time, he said, we have fixed the place in Dhaka, Chittagong, Sylhet and Khulna region for building the hospital. A hospital will be built in one of these places. We have already discussed this with the government. The government has expressed interest.
They will arrange us a land subject to all the contents.
He also said, ‘Bangladeshi patients come to our hospital with four problems. Cardiac, Cancer, Neuro and Gastro. For that we thought we will build this hospital by giving priority to these four things.
Besides, patients of other subjects will also get treatment here. As a result, they will no longer need to go out for treatment.
The chairman of Disan Hospital said that those who go to India for treatment from Bangladesh go for a few facilities. The benefits are – good medical care, reasonable expenses, airport services and hospital services. Bangladeshi patients are getting these facilities in our hospital.
When we inaugurate the hospital here, this hospital will also have these facilities. Besides, arrangements will be made to bring the patients who have passed away from various regions by helicopter. Still, if any patient from the border region wants to be treated in our hospital, we take them by helicopter.’
Referring to the nursing problem, Sajal Dutta said, ‘There will be no problem in getting doctors in our hospital. Many qualified doctors have contacted us. But our big concern is whether we will get nursing and technician support properly or not. These are very necessary things in a hospital. But we have a big lack of nursing training. There are not enough nurses in either country. Now special nurses are required for special cases. So initiatives should be taken in this sector.’
Sajal Dutt was accompanied by his daughter Shaoli Dutt, director of the company, in the press conference.
