The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has released the first image of the moon taken by Chandrayaan-3 from space. As seen in the image, the closer the spacecraft gets, the bigger the craters appear. BBC news
The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has published the picture by tweeting on Sunday night.
A video shows deep darkness around the moon. Among them is a gray sphere. There are many small and large craters on the lunar surface. It seems that the Indian spacecraft is very close to the moon.
If the mission succeeds, India will be the first country to land on the South Pole of the Moon. India is going to be the fourth country to land on the moon. Before India, the United States, the former Soviet Union and China have landed spacecraft on the moon.
The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) said in a press release that they are constantly monitoring Chandrayaan-3. The spacecraft is operating normally.
The organization also says that ISRO has successfully sent a spacecraft into the moon’s orbit for the third time.
According to ISRO, it has successfully entered the lunar orbit. If everything goes well, the mission will touch the south pole of the moon between August 23 and 24 this month. Then the lander Bikram from the Chandrayaan will attempt to land on the lunar surface.
