They also reaffirmed their shared commitment to advancing reconciliation through meaningful partnership with Indigenous Peoples in areas such as economic development and clean energy.

The Prime Minister and the Premier noted the important role the Yukon plays in the development of critical minerals, which are key to Canada’s economic growth, and discussed related areas such as infrastructure. The Prime Minister also highlighted today’s release of Canada’s Critical Minerals Strategy, which will help create sustainable jobs in every region of our country.
