The St. George RCMP is asking for the public’s help identifying two individuals of interest in connection with a theft of property in Back Bay, N.B.

On April 27, 2022, at approximately 2:35 a.m., two individuals boarded a boat that was docked at the Back Bay wharf and stole several items, including a number of tools as well as a hockey bag.

Through the investigation, police obtained surveillance video photos of the individuals involved as well as a vehicle of interest. The RCMP is now releasing the photos, and are hoping that despite the quality of the images, information from the public may help identify the individuals, or provide additional information to help the investigation.

At the time of the incident, the first individual appears to have been wearing a light-grey ball cap, a blue shirt with a light-coloured plaid flannel on top, blue jeans and green rubber boots. The second individual appears to have been wearing a black ball cap and a black hoodie with a white logo and brand in the front.

The vehicle is described as a blue pickup truck with white lettering on the windshield, a black or dark grey driver door and black or dark grey roof. At the time of the incident, the truck had no tailgate, an amber top light, and a back lighting system. The reverse light on the passenger side was burnt, and the truck appears to have a “lift kit” installed.

Anyone who recognizes the individuals or the vehicle of interest is asked to contact the St. George RCMP at 506-755-1130. Information can also be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), by downloading the secure P3 Mobile App, or by Secure Web Tips at www.crimenb.ca.
