Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes investigating suspicious death on Moosomin First Nation

On June 4, 2023 at roughly 5:45 a.m., Battlefords RCMP got a report of an unexpected passing in an open outside region on Moosomin First Country.

The adult male was located by officers right away, and EMS at the scene declared him dead.

Saskatchewan RCMP Significant Wrongdoings took carriage of the examination concerning the male’s passing, which is viewed as dubious in nature.

The man has been identified as Tyler Mooswa, 35, a member of the Moosomin First Nation. Victim services have been provided to his family, who have been informed.

The Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes Unit continues its investigation, and Moosomin First Nation residents may observe an increased police presence. The public will be informed by the Saskatchewan RCMP if they discover an increased threat to public safety.

Anyone who witnessed Tyler Mooswa’s death or had contact with him in the late evening of June 3 or early morning of June 4 is asked to immediately contact their local police department.
