On October 24, 2022, Shamattawa RCMP responded to a report of threats involving a firearm, at a residence in the community.
The investigation led officers to execute a search warrant at a residence on Riverside Road on Shamattawa First Nation.
Officers arrested an adult male and seized three firearms and ammunition.
A 24-year-old male from the community is facing charges of Pointing a Firearm, Assault with a Weapon and several firearm-related charges.
He remains in custody and Shamattawa RCMP continue to investigate.
