Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the Bangabandhu Tunnel under the Karnaphuli river

On one side of the Karnaphuli river is the port city, on the other side is the industrial area of Anwara upazila.

Finally the wait is over. Another door was opened by tunneling in South East Bengal. Its name is Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Tunnel. Through this, the country’s communication system was exposed to new horizons.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Tunnel by unveiling a plaque on the west bank of the Karnaphuli River at Patenga at around 11:40 am on Saturday.

The unveiling of the inaugural plaque was followed by fireworks. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina participated in prayers and prayers.

After that, he got into the car and went to the Anwara end through the tunnel. There he unveiled another plaque on the bank of the river. After that, Korean will address the public meeting of Awami League at EPZ ground.

Through this tunnel, the communication between the two banks of Karnaphuli, which is surrounded by industries, is becoming easier, connecting the Dhaka-Chittagong-Cox’s Bazar highway. It will speed up the country’s export trade.

On one side of the Karnaphuli river is the port city, on the other side is the industrial area of Anwara upazila. These two banks are being connected through this tunnel built with the ambitious goal of building ‘One City to Town’. Opening the way for world-class communication.
