Thompson RCMP arrest male for robbery and threats after two incidents

The Thompson RCMP responded to an armed robbery on Hickory Avenue on May 12, 2023, around 10:00 p.m.

Two male suspects moved toward a 38-year-old male who was strolling in the city, and compromised him. One suspect professed to have a blade. The suspects fled after stealing the victim’s belongings. The victim did not sustain any physical harm.

A threat call on Queens Bay in Thompson was answered by Thompson RCMP approximately forty minutes later.
Two male suspects moved toward two females, matured 53 and 55, compromised them, professed to have a blade, and escaped by walking. The victims did not sustain any physical harm. It was believed that the involved suspects were the same men from the previous incident.

At the scene, officers and Police Dog Services initiated patrols. Two men who had fled on foot were located by officers. Shortly after that, one of the men was taken into custody by the police, and the police service dog Linkin found a bag that was thought to have been left behind by the suspect. The sack contained more than $3000.00 in real money and a little amount of cocaine.

Brayden Charlette, 19, has been charged with:

  1. Robbery
  2. Uttering Threats x3
  3. Resist Arrest
  4. Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
  5. Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking
