Toronto Public Health continues to bring hyper-local COVID-19 vaccination clinics to Torontonians ages 65 and older and their families

Toronto Public Health (TPH) continues to bring COVID-19 vaccination clinics to local community centres to make it as convenient as possible for residents ages 65 and older – and their families – to get their next eligible vaccine dose. Keeping up-to-date with your COVID-19 immunization is the best protection against serious illness linked to this virus.

The clinics are conveniently located across Toronto and will continue to operate over the next two weeks on the following dates:

  • Agincourt Recreation Centre: Tuesday, May 3 and 10
  • Amesbury Community Centre: Tuesday, May 3 and 10
  • York-Fairbank Centre: Tuesday, May 3 and 10
  • Burrows Hall Community Centre: Wednesday, May 4 and 11
  • Scadding Court Community Centre: Wednesday, May 4 and 11
  • Carmine Stefano Community Centre: Thursday, May 5 and 12
  • L’Amoreaux Community Centre: Friday, May 6 and 13
  • Scarborough Village Community Centre: Friday, May 6 and 13
  • Chalkfarm Community Centre: Sunday, May 8 and 15
  • Earl Bales Community Centre: Sunday, May 8 and 15
  • Stephen Leacock Community Recreation Centre: Sunday, May 8 and 15
  • Wallace Emerson Community Centre: Sunday, May 8 and 15

These locations were selected by TPH as part of Team Toronto’s hyper-local, equity-focused strategy to make COVID-19 vaccines as accessible and convenient as possible and to facilitate easy access in places where Torontonians live, work and play in their everyday lives. The clinics will operate on a walk-in basis to provide first, second, third, fourth and paediatric doses to eligible residents. A health card is not needed to book an appointment, but a mask is required to be worn as vaccination clinics are considered health care settings. More information, including clinic locations and hours of operation, is available on the City’s COVID-19: Pop-Up Immunization Clinics webpage.

All Toronto residents are encouraged to get their next eligible COVID-19 vaccine dose as soon as possible, if they have not done so yet. As with vaccines for other diseases, residents are protected best when their vaccinations are up-to-date. As COVID-19 continues to circulate in the community, residents are encouraged to follow public health measures including getting vaccinated, wearing a high-quality, well-fitting mask – especially indoors – and staying home if feeling unwell. More information is available on the City’s COVID-19: Reduce Virus Spread Guide.

Quotes:

“Team Toronto’s efforts to help residents of every age get vaccinated against COVID-19 have been non-stop, and this is another great opportunity for those age 65 and older to receive their next eligible dose. We’ve come a long way as a city and I urge residents to continue doing their part to protect themselves and those around them by getting vaccinated as soon as possible.”

– Mayor John Tory

“These clinics are another great example of Team Toronto’s hard work to bring vaccines to residents in convenient locations across our city. Recent data shows booster doses prevented almost 6,000 hospitalizations among Ontario residents aged 60 and older. This is why we continue to encourage residents to stay up-to-date with their COVID-19 vaccinations to protect yourself and others against serious illness linked to this virus.”

– Dr. Eileen de Villa, Toronto’s Medical Officer of Health
