Production of Apache helicopters to the Indian Army has started at the Arizona plant in the US. This was reported on Wednesday by the manufacturer Boeing. In 2020, the Indian Army placed an order for six Apache AH-64E copters. Boeing said that this step was taken to supply them. Boring has also announced that it will start supplying copters to the Indian Army from 2024.

The American-made Apache AH-64E helicopter was inducted into the Indian Air Force in 2019 to strengthen its arsenal. Now the ‘Army Aviation Corps’ is also going to get that copter. The Indian Army currently has Russian-made series of copters.

According to sources in the Ministry of Defense, Apache AH-64E helicopters will be used instead of them. Boeing was awarded the order to supply the Apache in 2015 by the Indian Air Force.

According to Indian Army sources, the maximum speed of the Apache AH-64E helicopter is 284 km per hour. The copter is equipped with laser-guided Hellfire missiles, 70 mm rockets, 30 mm automatic cannon. If necessary, this war copter made in America can climb to a height of 2800 feet per minute.

Apart from India, the air forces of America and Israel use the helicopter. This copter has digital cockpit. Apache can fire 128 rounds per minute while targeting the enemy. It also has a hydro rocket launcher. The Apache is also capable of firing air-to-air stringer missiles.
