There is no doubt that Ukraine will join NATO. But when it will be given, it cannot be decided now. NATO has decided that Ukraine can join this military group only if all conditions for joining NATO are met. However, there is no specific indication of when that time will come.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky expressed his disappointment with NATO’s decision. Standing in Lithuania, he said that he could not accept the decision taken by NATO. He hoped that NATO would take a clear decision.

A two-day NATO meeting has begun in Lithuania.

Tuesday was the first day. Prior to that, US President Joe Biden, visiting the United Kingdom, announced that Ukraine will not be accepted into NATO right away. His point was that taking Ukraine into NATO now would mean getting involved in an all-out war with Russia. That is, not only Ukraine but NATO would have been involved in a war with Russia.
Many experts believe that a definitive decision on Ukraine’s accession to NATO will be made after the end of the war with Russia. Not before that. Because every country has said that they have no objection to Ukraine’s accession.

Meanwhile, the foreign minister of Ukraine expressed disappointment and said, “This decision of NATO is a big lie.” Ukraine is fighting against Russia with all its might.

Protecting all of Europe. But NATO is not able to make a decision about Ukraine.
Zelenskiy, flanked by the head of state of Lithuania, said that every soldier, every person in Ukraine expected NATO to make a clear decision. But NATO has disappointed the entire Ukraine.

Eastern European countries, including Lithuania, however, supported Ukraine. Lithuania was the first to help Ukraine with arms. Russia had not yet invaded Ukraine. Eastern European countries believe that Ukraine should be included in NATO as soon as possible.

The United States has said that it will continue to help Ukraine. But the statement of Ukraine, they are not getting complete relief from this assurance of the United States. Because the presidential election in the United States in 2024. A new president could change all these assurances. So Ukraine wants a clear decision.
