Statement by Conservative Party Leader Erin O’Toole on Eid al-Adha

The Honorable Erin O’Toole, Leader of Canada’s Conservatives and the Official Opposition, issued the following statement on the occasion of Eid al-Adha:

“Today, Muslims in Canada and around the world celebrate Eid al-Adha, one of the holiest days in the Islamic calendar.

“This is a good time to reflect on the principles of love, faith and sacrifice.

“A time marked by charitable giving, personal sacrifice and sharing food with family, friends and neighbors.

“Even though the gatherings and pilgrimages will be different this year, I know Muslims are finding safe ways to celebrate this day.

“On behalf of Canada’s Conservatives, I wish all those celebrating Eid al-Adha a wonderful day.
